Liverpool 0–0 Fulham

Anfield has traditionally been one of the toughest places for visiting teams, but Liverpool are now struggling to turn home advantage into victories. The Reds were held to a goalless draw by Fulham, extending their winless run at home to four consecutive Premier League matches.

Liverpool's attack looked short of ideas throughout the game. Bradley Barcola, one of the club's major summer signings, made his first start but failed to make the expected impact. Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz also struggled to convert their opportunities.

Liverpool tried to change the momentum after the break by introducing Milos Kerkez, Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister, but the changes failed to produce a breakthrough. Fulham's defence held firm until the final whistle.

What Is Happening to Liverpool at Anfield?

Liverpool's recent home record has raised serious questions. Before the draw against Fulham, the Reds had already failed to win their previous three league matches at Anfield, drawing two and losing one.

With another draw against Fulham, Liverpool are now without a league victory in their last four home matches. They have drawn three of those games and lost one.

It is the first time since November 2011 that Liverpool have gone four consecutive league matches without a win at Anfield.

The contrast with their away form is striking. Liverpool had won their previous two away league matches, but they have been unable to produce the same level of consistency in front of their home supporters.

A Valuable Point for Fulham

The goalless draw was a positive result for Fulham. After losing their opening three matches of the season, the club finally collected its first point.

Although they failed to score, Fulham's defensive organisation frustrated Liverpool throughout the match. The result could also ease some of the pressure surrounding their coach.

Chelsea Also Drop Points

Liverpool were not the only major side to drop points on the day. Chelsea were held to a 2–2 draw by Hull City.

Morgan Rogers and Joao Pedro scored for Chelsea, while Mohamed Belloumi scored both goals for Hull.

Liverpool Slip Further Behind

Manchester City and Arsenal remain at the top of the table after winning all three of their opening matches.

Liverpool now have six points from four games and sit sixth in the table. Chelsea have seven points from four matches and occupy fourth place.

Liverpool's strong away form has so far been overshadowed by their struggles at Anfield. If the Reds cannot quickly rediscover their home form, those dropped points could become increasingly costly as the Premier League season progresses.
