Real Madrid Receive Triple Boost Ahead of Inter Clash as Tchouameni and Two Others Return
Real Madrid have received a major boost ahead of their Champions League opener against Inter Milan, with Aurelien Tchouameni, Thiago Pitarch and Endrick all returning to training after recovering from injuries.
Madrid are looking to bounce back after suffering their first defeat of the new La Liga season against Real Betis. Their focus now turns to Europe, with Inter Milan waiting in their opening Champions League fixture on Tuesday night, Bangladesh time.
The return of Tchouameni is arguably the biggest positive for Real Madrid. The French midfielder had been sidelined with a groin injury, and the club had been cautious about rushing him back before he was fully fit. His return to training now gives head coach Jose Mourinho another important option in midfield ahead of the Inter clash.
However, Tchouameni is not guaranteed an immediate return to the starting XI after spending time on the sidelines. Even if he starts on the bench, his presence provides Madrid with greater depth and another reliable midfield option. Pitarch's return similarly gives Mourinho more flexibility when planning his midfield setup.
Endrick's return is also encouraging news for Madrid's attack. The Brazilian youngster has been competing for a regular starting role this season, but his injury had temporarily disrupted that push. His return to training gives him another opportunity to fight for his place.
Madrid's defeat to Betis also highlighted the importance of attacking depth. Substitute Carlos Espi made a positive impact after coming off the bench, although his impressive equaliser was eventually ruled out following a VAR review. Endrick will now have to compete with Espi for opportunities in attack.
Overall, having three players back in training is a significant boost for Real Madrid ahead of their Champions League showdown with Inter Milan. The key question now is how Mourinho plans to use them and whether any of the returning players will feature in the starting lineup.
