The match ended in 53 minutes, Sabalenka won the US Open with a landslide victory.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka defeated Polina Yatchenko, who had qualified for the second round of the US Open, 6-1, 6-1 in just 53 minutes.

Sabalenka took control of the match from the start at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. She broke her opponent's serve twice in the first set and moved ahead quickly. She won 15 of the 16 points in the first serve to take the set 6-1 in just 24 minutes.

Sabalenka maintained the same dominance in the second set. She finished the match 6-1 in just 29 minutes, giving Yatchenko no chance.

Sabalenka expressed satisfaction with her performance after the victory. She said, "I'm happy with the quality of my performance. I've worked very hard. But now I'm taking a step back from trying to be perfect on the court. I know that no one can be perfect. So I'm trying to work with what I have at the moment.'

The Belarusian star is also happy to keep her focus. In her words, 'No matter what happens, I can keep my focus on myself and stay focused — that's what feels good.' 

Despite losing 6-1, 6-1, this year's US Open will be memorable for Yatchenko. This was her first Grand Slam main draw. She made it through the qualifiers and into the second round.

Yatchenko had to fight hard to defeat Renata Zarazua in the first round. She won that match 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 [10-7] in a match that lasted 3 hours and 27 minutes.

Sabalenka's opponent in the third round is Uzbekistan's Kamila Rakhimova. They will face each other on Friday. The two have met three times before, and Sabalenka has won each time.

With this victory, the world's number one female tennis star also maintained her record of remaining undefeated in 15 consecutive matches in New York.
