For a day, the shadow of five-time world champions Brazil has fallen on the football sky in Dhaka. The arrival of a five-member delegation of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) directly from the airport to the National Stadium yesterday has created an atmosphere of great possibility. That possibility is even stronger this time - Brazil wants to come to Dhaka after the end of the FIFA Asian Cup and play a friendly match against Bangladesh. The FIFA window for September will end on October 6. Within that time, the CBF has proposed to organize a friendly match against Bangladesh at the National Stadium in Dhaka. A responsible source in the BFF said that Brazil wants to organize the match on October 5 or 6. The five-time world champions also plan to come to Dhaka with a convoy of about 90 members to play against Bangladesh. However, Bangladesh has not yet made a final decision on the match. Because, the FIFA Asian Cup will start in Indonesia from September 24. The final of the tournament will be on October 3. Bangladesh will play three matches in the group stage. Considering the busy schedule of the national team, the BFF did not immediately agree to Brazil's proposal. The Brazilian delegation has already arrived in Dhaka and inspected the possible venues. Yesterday, they went directly to the National Stadium from the airport. There, the representatives toured various parts of the stadium, including the field, dressing room, gallery and media box. Later, they also visited the Bashundhara Kings Arena. The members of the Brazilian delegation met with BFF President Tabith Awal in the evening.Their proposed match against India is also linked to this visit to Brazil. Brazil will play a friendly match against India in Kolkata on October 3. It is known that their delegation has come to Dhaka as part of the preparation for that match. The Football Federation of India withdrew its name from the FIFA Asian Cup to play the match against Brazil as part of the preparation for the Asian Cup. Later, FIFA invited Bangladesh to play in the tournament instead of India. The Brazilian national football team has never set foot in Bangladesh. However, Argentina played a friendly match against Nigeria at the National Stadium in Dhaka on September 6, 2011. So when Brazil comes to Dhaka this time, it will be another memorable chapter in the country's football history.
