Bangladesh all out for 54, Coach Simmons disappointed with the way the batsmen were dismissed

Bangladesh suffered a major setback in a three-day warm-up match on Australian soil. The Tigers lost by an innings to Cricket Australia XI. Only Mehedi Hasan Miraj managed to cross the fifty mark among the Bangladesh batsmen in both innings. Apart from his century, the visitors could not show any notable performance with the bat.

Bangladesh scored 263 runs in the first innings. But the batting collapsed even more horribly in the second innings. Bangladesh, which started the third day of the match in Darwin with 2 for 19 runs, lost the remaining eight wickets in just 16 overs and were all out for 54 runs.

Cricket Australia XI bowler Thompson played a major role in Bangladesh's batting disaster. This bowler, who has only played one first-class match, took 8 of Bangladesh's 10 wickets alone. Bangladesh's batsmen could not stand up to his bowling.

Such a performance in the warm-up match just before the start of the two-Test series against Australia naturally disappointed Bangladesh coach Phil Simmons. He is particularly unhappy with the way the batsmen were dismissed.

In a video message sent by the BCB after the match, Simmons said, "We did a lot of good work in the three days we had. But we let ourselves down with the bat in the warm-up match. If you look at the way we were dismissed, it was not good at all."

However, the Bangladesh coach does not want to worry too much about the failure of the warm-up match. He believes that the batsmen will use the time they have before the first Test to prepare themselves.

Simmons said, "We have three more days to work on what needs to be done in the Test match. I have full faith in the boys. They will do the necessary work in the next three days so that we can find ourselves in the desired position for the Test."

He also said, "It was a disappointing match, but we are forgetting the past and looking forward to the Test."

Bangladesh's goal is to put the disappointment of the warm-up match behind them and now turn around in the main series. The first match of the two-match Test series against Australia will begin in Darwin next Thursday.
