Bangladeshi actress Mehazabien Chowdhury has criticised the creation and circulation of fabricated content using artificial intelligence (AI) to humiliate people for views, likes, shares and financial gain.

In a Facebook post on Thursday morning, October 15, Mehazabien questioned the ethics of turning someone’s humiliation into a source of online engagement and income. She argued that creating and spreading false content to damage another person’s reputation should not be treated as entertainment.

The actress also raised concerns about people who share such material and help it reach a wider audience. According to her, the problem extends beyond content creators and reflects broader questions about social responsibility and respect for others.

Mehazabien stressed that people should not need to be someone’s family member to deserve dignity and respect. She urged social media users to think carefully before sharing content that could harm another person.
