Agent Dispute Clouds Real Madrid’s New Signing

Real Madrid were close to completing the signing of 19-year-old Ivorian winger Ian Diomande, with medical checks and the official presentation reportedly being prepared. However, the transfer has now been thrown into doubt by a dispute between two agencies.

Real negotiated with Roc Nation, which claims to represent the player. Maxidel Management, on the other hand, argues that it handled Diomande’s previous move from Leganés to RB Leipzig and still holds contractual rights over him. The agency has already taken the matter to FIFA.

Under FIFA regulations, ongoing disputes over player representation can affect registration and international transfer procedures. Although a temporary registration may still be possible, Real are waiting for legal clarity before moving forward.

Diomande has also missed Leipzig’s pre-season camp, officially due to illness. For now, the player, both agencies and Real Madrid are all awaiting FIFA’s next step.
