Barcelona Fight Back to Beat Galatasaray 4-1 and Make It 10 Straight Wins
Galatasaray 1-4 Barcelona
Barcelona overcame an early scare in Istanbul to beat Galatasaray 4-1 and make it two wins from two in the Champions League league phase. The victory also extended Hansi Flick's side's winning streak to 10 matches in all competitions.
Barcelona controlled much of the opening stages and created good chances through Gordon and Dani Olmo inside the first 25 minutes. However, Galatasaray took the lead against the run of play.
In the 28th minute, Rafael Leao's cutback found Alexey Batrakov outside the box. His shot took a deflection off Joao Cancelo and changed direction before finding the net. It was Galatasaray's first shot on target, despite Barcelona having already attempted six.
The hosts appeared to double their lead six minutes later when Baris Alper Yilmaz found the net. However, the goal was ruled out for offside following a VAR review.
Barcelona then levelled just before half-time. After Galatasaray failed to clear the danger following a Lamine Yamal attack, Dani Olmo won the ball and Joao Cancelo finished with a precise right-footed strike in the 43rd minute.

Barcelona Turn the Game Around After the Break
Barcelona returned from half-time with a completely different intensity and scored three times within the first 20 minutes of the second half.
In the 50th minute, Yamal delivered a cross after a corner had been cleared. Fermin Lopez rose to head home from close range and put Barcelona ahead.
Just three minutes later, Anthony Gordon made it 3-1. After receiving a pass from Pedri, Yamal kept the ball in play near the goal line before setting up Gordon, whose shot found the net.
Barcelona added a fourth in the 65th minute through Karim Adeyemi. The German forward reacted quickly after the ball fell to him following a deflection off Gabriel Jesus and fired a low shot into the far corner.
Galatasaray had little response as Barcelona continued to threaten. Adeyemi came close to adding another when his volley from Yamal's cross was cleared off the line by Roland Sallai.
Yamal then created another opportunity for Gabriel Jesus, but Galatasaray goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir made the save.
There were no further goals, but Barcelona comfortably secured a 4-1 victory.
After opening their Champions League campaign with a 5-1 win over Feyenoord, Barcelona have now made it two wins from two and extended their winning run in all competitions to 10 matches.
