Raphinha Hat-Trick Leads Barcelona to 7-2 Win Over Racing Santander

Barcelona continued their remarkable goalscoring run with another emphatic victory, beating Racing Santander 7-2 to maintain their perfect start to the La Liga season. Raphinha scored a hat-trick, while Joao Cancelo, Gabriel Jesus and Lamine Yamal added one goal each. The other goal came through an own goal.

The victory gives Barcelona six wins from six league matches and a perfect 18 points at the top of the table.

Cancelo Opens the Scoring

Barcelona started strongly on a rain-soaked night at Camp Nou and took the lead in the eighth minute through Joao Cancelo.

The Portuguese defender unleashed a powerful curling effort from around 20 yards outside the box. The shot flew beyond the reach of the Racing goalkeeper to give Barcelona an early advantage.

Raphinha doubled the lead in the 25th minute. After being fouled inside the box, the Brazilian forward stepped up to take the resulting penalty and calmly converted from the spot.

Racing Pull One Back but Barcelona Respond

Racing Santander reduced the deficit in the 30th minute through captain Maguette Gue, who finished a well-worked team move.

Barcelona restored their two-goal advantage six minutes later. Cancelo produced another powerful effort from outside the box, with the ball taking a touch off Racing forward Asier Villalibre before finding the net. The goal was officially recorded as an own goal.

Raphinha then struck again just before half-time. The Brazilian finished brilliantly from inside the box in the 42nd minute to make it 4-1.

Barcelona had a chance to add another before the break when Karim Adeyemi won a penalty. Lamine Yamal took responsibility from the spot, but Racing goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala made an excellent save.

Raphinha Completes His Hat-Trick

Racing came out looking to reduce the deficit after the interval and were rewarded when Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny made a costly mistake.

After receiving the ball from a teammate, Szczesny attempted to evade Yasir Jabiri but lost possession. The Racing substitute forward took advantage and finished into an empty net to make it 4-2.

Barcelona responded almost immediately.

Just two minutes later, Adeyemi was fouled inside the box again, giving Barcelona another penalty. Raphinha stepped up and completed his hat-trick from the spot.

The treble took his tally to 11 goals across all competitions this season.

Jesus and Yamal Complete the Rout

Gabriel Jesus added Barcelona’s sixth goal in the 79th minute, curling a right-footed effort into the net from inside the box.

Lamine Yamal then had the final say in stoppage time. The young Spanish playmaker converted Karim Adeyemi’s assist to make amends for his earlier penalty miss.

Barcelona eventually completed a 7-2 victory and maintained their perfect league record.

Barcelona’s Goal Machine Keeps Rolling

Barcelona’s attacking form has become one of the defining features of their season. They have now scored at least five goals in four of their six La Liga matches. Including their Champions League fixture, they have reached the five-goal mark in five matches across competitions.

The seven goals against Racing Santander also represent Barcelona’s highest single-match tally in La Liga so far this season.

With Raphinha producing a hat-trick and the attack continuing to fire, Barcelona remain unbeaten with six wins from six and 18 points at the top of the league.
