Barcelona 5-1 Feyenoord

Barcelona’s goal-scoring form shows no signs of slowing down. After scoring five goals in each of their last two La Liga matches, Hansi Flick’s side opened their Champions League campaign with another emphatic five-goal performance, beating Feyenoord 5-1 at a rain-soaked Camp Nou.

Barcelona have now played five competitive matches this season and have scored at least five goals in four of them. Their total tally has reached an impressive 22 goals across those five games.

The hosts made a flying start against Feyenoord, with Raphinha opening the scoring in just the third minute. The Brazilian finished after receiving a pass from Lamine Yamal.

Karim Adeyemi doubled Barcelona’s advantage in the 22nd minute. The German forward collected a pass from Joao Cancelo before beating Feyenoord goalkeeper Tjark Ernst with a curling right-footed effort from outside the box.

Barcelona went into half-time with a 2-0 lead and continued their dominance after the break.

Raphinha scored his second goal of the night in the 57th minute after receiving a pass from Pedri. Yamal then made it 4-0 in the 77th minute with a superb free-kick.

Feyenoord pulled one goal back through Sem Steijn in the 82nd minute, but Barcelona responded almost immediately. Just three minutes later, Gabriel Jesus headed home from a Yamal cross to score his first goal for the Catalan club.

Barcelona eventually secured a convincing 5-1 victory and made a strong statement at the start of their European campaign.

The Catalan side began the season without a traditional established No. 9 following Robert Lewandowski’s departure. Although Gabriel Jesus arrived late in the transfer window, Raphinha has so far taken much of the attacking responsibility and has delivered consistently.

Barcelona have already scored 17 goals in four La Liga matches, with Raphinha contributing six. After another five-goal performance in Europe, Flick’s side look to be in formidable attacking form.
