Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez both found the net, but Inter Miami were unable to secure all three points as they were held to a 2-2 draw by San Diego FC in Major League Soccer.

The result extended Miami’s winless run in the league to four consecutive matches, with the club settling for another share of the points at home.

San Diego started brightly at Miami’s Nu Stadium and took the lead in the 12th minute through Anders Dreyer, who finished to put the visitors in front.

Miami responded quickly. In the 24th minute, Lionel Messi produced another moment of quality, converting a free kick to bring the hosts level.

The goal was Messi’s 101st for Inter Miami and his 20th in the MLS campaign, further adding to his impressive scoring record since joining the club.

After the break, both sides pushed forward in search of a decisive goal. Miami eventually turned the game around in the 74th minute when Luis Suarez finished from a Rodrigo De Paul assist to make it 2-1.

The hosts appeared to be on course for victory, but San Diego had other ideas.

Dreyer struck again in the 82nd minute to level the score at 2-2. Neither side could find a winning goal in the closing stages, leaving Miami frustrated despite goals from both Messi and Suarez.

The draw leaves Inter Miami with 46 points from 26 MLS matches, placing them third in the Eastern Conference. San Diego FC, meanwhile, sit 10th in the Western Conference with 31 points.
