Pakistan are set for a busy start to the new season, with Sri Lanka and England scheduled to feature in a packed international calendar. Alongside a T20I and Test series against Sri Lanka, Pakistan will host a three-nation ODI series involving England.

The action will begin with a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi on October 9, 11 and 13. It will be Pakistan’s first international T20I series since the 2026 T20 World Cup.

Five days after the T20I series, Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka will meet in a tri-series. Each team will face the other twice in the league stage. England will play Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi on October 20 and 22, before the remaining matches move to Lahore. The top two teams in the points table will meet in the final on October 31.

It will be the second consecutive year that Pakistan host an ODI tri-series at home. Last year, they staged a similar tournament involving South Africa and New Zealand ahead of the Champions Trophy.

After the ODI series, Pakistan will face Sri Lanka in a two-match Test series. The first Test will be played in Rawalpindi from November 9 to 13, followed by the second Test in Lahore from November 17 to 21. Both matches are part of the World Test Championship. Sri Lanka will also play a three-day warm-up match in Islamabad before the Test series.

This will be Pakistan’s second home series in the current World Test Championship cycle. They drew their previous home series 1-1 against defending champions South Africa last October. Pakistan’s final series of the cycle will come against New Zealand next March. They currently sit eighth in the nine-team WTC standings.

For England, the tri-series will mark the beginning of a demanding winter schedule. After their Pakistan tour, England will travel to Australia for three ODIs and five T20Is. They will then head to South Africa for three Tests and three ODIs before visiting Bangladesh in February for a two-match Test series.

England will then return to Australia in March to play a special 150th-anniversary Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
